Teaching officials focus more on students' assessment abilities

Teachers are being mindful with their teaching in learners to see if they are independent or in need of face-to-face action by assessing their abilities in online learning modalities in preparation for the PISA assessment this 2025.
This initiative aims to identify non-readers and provide them with appropriate reading assistance and was realized through the 2018 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) Reading Results, in which the Philippines received the lowest reading comprehension score.

According to the Curriculum Head of Region XI, the assessment would be administered online and that schools would be randomly selected nationwide to receive credit for it.
“Every PISA assessment is taken every three years and is said to be taken by many countries around the world by next year, 2025, in which Filipino learners are being developed to overcome the learning losses being presented by previous PISA assessments,” said the DepEd Official
This is to be line with the many agendas of the MATATAG curriculum which focuses on promoting literacy skills and will be conducted properly once the next school year starts.
