James Vyrald Ryle C. Aquino snared the victory against Jason Vincent Battad after struggling through the early domination displaying multiple forehands with his solid defense routing himself for the championship match during the 2024 RSPC Men's Lawn Tennis Semifinals.
Standing at 5'6, Aquino refused to settle for less forcing his enemy with multiple errors from his forehands and advancing through Battad's lobs with full power seizing control of the game.
With the first set leaning onto Battad's overflowing dominance, Aquino stayed with composure within the pivotal moments of the game keeping up the pace from his opponent's strong volley.
Shouldering the heavy loss from the first set, Aquino started to turn the tables down with speed and agility enabling him to execute multiple forehands succumbing Battad from the growing pressure. While, Aquino slowly penetrated Battad's heavy defenses with his superb control blasting consecutive forehands and tricky drop shots, further maximizing his early lead in the third set.
As both players goes on a toe-to-toe affair exchanging offenses, Aquino stayed on top with his overpowered forehands outlasting his opponent in the field of speed securing the grand victory.
Now both players are continuing their training powered with the will on winning the upcoming DAVRAA competition.
